SUDOSCAN® vs. Vitalscan Sudocheck | Unveiling Key Differences in Durability, Efficiency, and Validation

Competitor's Electrode

Discover the Distinctions:  - Unveiling Key Differences in Durability, Efficiency, and Validation

Durability and Accuracy: Over time, the metal used in Vitalscan Sudocheck can wear out and affect the accuracy of patient data points due to accumulated scratches and wear. In contrast, SUDOSCAN® utilizes Smart Electrodes that are renewed after every 100 tests, guaranteeing the highest level of accuracy. This means that each SUDOSCAN® test will provide results as if it were a new device, even after years of use. Whether you have a 10-year-old Sudoscan device or have conducted thousands of tests, your patients will always step onto a new Smart Electrode for reliable and precise measurements.

Ease of Management: Managing the SUDOSCAN® device is a breeze. Our user-friendly design includes light indicators that provide real-time feedback on the device's status, indicating if it is working properly. Additionally, the indicators display which test is being performed and conveniently show the number of tests remaining. With these intuitive features, you can effortlessly monitor the device's functionality and keep track of test availability.

Time Efficiency: We understand that your time is valuable, and that's why SUDOSCAN® is designed to optimize efficiency. Unlike Vitalscan, which requires a dedicated room and a considerable amount of time and space to administer a test (typically taking 30 to 45 minutes), Sudoscan offers a streamlined process.

Patient preparation can be completed while entering their basic personal information, and the portable SUDOSCAN® device can be conveniently rolled to any area with an electrical plug. The test itself takes approximately 3 minutes, whether the patient is standing or seated.

On average, the entire process, including patient preparation, can be completed in just 10 minutes, allowing you to maximize your valuable time.

Hardware and Software: Unlike Vitalscan, which utilizes a laptop model, SUDOSCAN® made a brief foray into that design in the past but quickly discontinued it for several reasons. While the initial intention was to provide a more affordable option with a lower price point, we encountered various challenges that led us to make the decision.

We have since focused on optimizing the design and functionality of our current SUDOSCAN® device, ensuring superior performance and user experience for our valued customers.

Below is an image of the Vitalscan foot plate on the top and on the bottom, you can see the SUDOSCAN® Smart Electrode. Both devices are utilized for their respective purposes.

Our previous experience with the laptop model of SUDOSCAN® revealed several challenges that compromised its effectiveness. Although it initially seemed like a more cost-effective option for practices, we encountered issues related to obsolete hardware and software, as well as individual laptop-related problems.

Keeping up with updates and patches, ensuring HIPAA compliance, addressing data loss concerns, dealing with warranty issues specific to laptops, and safeguarding against piracy and hacking became significant hurdles. As a result, we made the decision to discontinue the laptop model and focus on providing a more reliable and secure device for our customers. In response to these challenges, we made significant improvements to the SUDOSCAN® information system, resulting in a robust and reliable platform.

All our devices now utilize the same system, providing seamless integration and ensuring that repairs and warranty issues are straightforward and covered. This redesigned information system enhances the overall user experience and simplifies the process of managing and maintaining SUDOSCAN® devices.

Our Commitment & Support Our commitment to providing exceptional support extends to our hardware and software. We have streamlined our repair and replacement processes for hardware components, ensuring quick and efficient resolution. Additionally, our software can be remotely serviced, minimizing any disruptions in device functionality.

As a company, we prioritize data security and compliance with HIPAA regulations. To safeguard patient and physician data, we have implemented a robust system with two secured hard drives, one of which is exclusively accessible to us. This redundancy ensures the highest level of data protection and enables us to recover data in the event of unforeseen circumstances like power surges or accidental damage.

Our user-friendly interface allows for easy storage and transmission of patient and physician reports, whether it's sending them to a network printer or transferring them to another system via USB.

Research and Validation: While Vitalscan acknowledges the value of their test through articles, SUDOSCAN® stands out as a global leader in the field. Our name is referenced in numerous research papers and articles, demonstrating our extensive collaboration with universities and hospitals worldwide.

When it comes to testing for small fiber neuropathy, SUDOSCAN® is recognized as the gold standard.

Our commitment to excellence and ongoing advancements set us apart from the competition.
