Unveiling Key Differences in Durability, Efficiency, and Validation

Over time, the metal used in Vitalscan Sudocheck can wear out and affect the accuracy of patient data points due to accumulated scratches and wear. In contrast, SUDOSCAN® utilizes Smart Electrodes that are renewed after every 100 tests, guaranteeing the highest level of accuracy. This means that each SUDOSCAN® test will provide results as if it were a new device, even after years of use. Whether you have a 10-year-old SUDOSCAN® device or have conducted thousands of tests, your patients will always step onto a new Smart Electrode for reliable and precise measurements.

We understand that your time is valuable, and that's why SUDOSCAN® is designed to optimize efficiency.

Unlike Vitalscan, which requires a dedicated room and a considerable amount of time and space to administer a test (typically taking 30 to 45 minutes), SUDOSCAN® offers a streamlined process.

Patient preparation can be completed while entering their basic personal information, and the portable SUDOSCAN® device can be conveniently rolled to any area with an electrical plug.

The test itself takes approximately 3 minutes, whether the patient is standing or seated.

On average, the entire process, including patient preparation, can be completed in just 10 minutes, allowing you to maximize your valuable time.

If the score is high, this indicates no sign of sudomotor dysfunction and no autonomic neuropathy.

If the score is low, this indicates a sudomotor dysfunction and a neuropathy.

Below the ESC score shows the assymtry percentage between the right and left side.

Easy to read results

The polarity of the stainless steel sensor plates is swapped during a scan to record individual right and left side conductance values. Patient results are displayed right after the end of the scan. The amount of observed asymmetry is an indicator of the type of peripheral neuropathy. The physician can also display the follow-up over time curve of several SUDOSCAN® scans.

Our previous experience with the laptop model of SUDOSCAN® revealed several challenges that compromised its effectiveness. Although it initially seemed like a more cost-effective option for practices, we encountered issues related to obsolete hardware and software, as well as individual laptop security related issues.

Keeping up with updates and patches, ensuring FIPS and HIPAA compliance, addressing data loss concerns, dealing with warranty issues specific to laptops, and safeguarding against piracy and hacking became significant hurdles.

As a result, we made the decision to discontinue the laptop model and focus on providing a more reliable and secure device for our customers. In response to these challenges, we made significant improvements to the SUDOSCAN® information system, resulting in a robust and reliable platform.

All our devices now utilize the same system, providing seamless integration and ensuring that repairs and warranty issues are straightforward and covered. This redesigned information system enhances the overall user experience and simplifies the process of managing and maintaining SUDOSCAN® devices.
